Four people qualified to run for the expired term of mayor in the Eunice March 5 election.
Two people qualified to run for the Ward 4 Board of Alderman seat.
The Eunice News will publish free announcements for candidates in the special city election for mayor and Ward 4 Board of Alderman member.
The announcements are biographical only and limited to 400 words. They will contain no campaign promises, pledges or references to other candidates. That material should be included in paid political advertising.

Early voting for the Nov. 21 election continues through Saturday.
In St. Landry Parish, early voting is from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the registrar’s office, 118 S. Court St., Suite 114, Opelousas.
