Eunice Player’s ‘Black Coffee’ to open
Eunice Players’ Theatre will present “Black Coffee” an Agatha Christie comedy murder mystery.
Show dates are Wednesday, Thursday, Nov. 12, 15, 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. There will be a Nov. 13 2 p.m. matinee.

Farm House, Main House tours to aid Eunice children’s Christmas fund

There will be something unique at the Farmhouse at Cypress Grove and the Main House at Le Village, a Christmas open house at 150 Seale Lane, in Eunice.

Election polling sites

The following are polling sites in St. Landry Parish Ward 6.
Precinct 1 — First District 6 Substation, 1398 Guillory Road, Eunice.
Precinct 1 — First District 6 Substation, 1398 Guillory Road, Eunice.
Precinct 3 — Lawtell Elementary School, 1010 School Road, Opelousas.

Jenkins signs contract for top school job

At the end of Thursday’s St. Landry Parish School Board, Patrick Jenkins signed a contract with the board to serve two and half years as superintendent.
But before that happened board members exposed a split in their ranks even though the contract was approved on a unanimous vote.

Obituaries

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
