"Dining With The Chefs"

MyMissions sponsored a Dining with the Chefs, Holiday Demonstration last Thursday evening at the Northwest Center in Eunice.
MyMission welcomes all women, and it’s an organization for women of all ages through which they engage in Bible study and prayer, the building up of the community, and mission projects in surrounding areas.
A crowd of women attended the event and were treated to a Holiday demonstration and meal of Holiday salad, a main entree Crown Roast of Pork and cornbread dressing and a dessert of “Happy Birthday Jesus Cake.”
The demonstrations were presented by Danielle Bozyone, Angie Hoychick (salad), Margaret Fontenot, April LaFleur, (Crown Roast of Pork and cornbread dressing) Denise Aguillard and Tammy Cormier (Happy Birthday Jesus Cake).
As each chef presented their food demonstration, giving women their ingredients used, preparation tips, etc, their ‘counter-partner’ gave scriptures and life-illustrations partaining to each ingredient used for the  dish.  
For example, as Tammy Cormier frosted the Happy Birthday Jesus Cake, Denise Aguillard spoke about each layer and its representation. She said, “The bottom layer is black, which represents the sin that is in in our lives. “The middle layer is red, representing the blood that Jesus shed on our behalf. The top layer is green, representing the new life we have in Christ. As we grow, we become more like Him.”
All women went home with recipe cards from the holiday meal.
