Several veterans were recognized and honored at Highland Elementary Thursday during a brief program.
Among those honored, a U.S. Army veteran himself, was St. Landry Parish Superintendent Patrick Jenkins.

A Vietnam veteran, businessman, civic leader and author, Odon Bacque, Jr. of Lafayette will discuss his experiences in Vietnam which he recounts in his book, A Walk in the Park: A Vietnam Comedy.

Eunice Player’s presents ‘Black Coffee’ now, through Nov. 19

The Eunice Player’s Theatre presents ‘Black Coffee’, an Agatha Christie comedy murder mystery today at 7 p.m. Other production dates include Saturday, Nov. 12, 15, and 19 at 7 p.m. There will be a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.There will be a dinner theater Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. with dinner at Ruby’s.
