Eunice Police Department Lt. Donnie Thibodeaux, right, received the Supervisor of the Year award from Police Chief Randy Fontenot at the department’s Christmas Party held Friday at the American Legion Post on Park Avenue in Eunice. Thibodeaux started with the department in 2004. In 2007, he was promoted to sergeant and in June 2009 became a lieutenant. Thibodeaux has twice been elected as the department’s representative on the civil service board. “Donnie is a leader within the department, which is evidenced by his election to the civil service board for two terms. The Eunice Police Department’s Officer of the Year is Patrolman Quintin Doyle. He was honored Friday at the department’s Christmas Party at the American Legion Post on Park Avenue in Eunice. Lt. Jeremy Ivory accepted the award of Doyle’s behalf. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said Doyle started with the department in October 2010. “Doyle is a good police officer. He knows his job and gets along with everybody. I don’t receive complaints about him from the public or the department. He follows up on complaints and he is always up for the job,” Fontenot said.
