Fireworks display is Monday

The annual Fourth of July fireworks display is scheduled at 9 p.m. Monday at the Eunice Recreation Complex on Sittig Road.
Traffic routing will be changed this year.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said from 6 p.m. until after the fireworks only eastbound traffic will be allowed on Sittig Road.
The road became impassable during the last year’s fireworks display, he said.
Following the display, which lasts about 45 minutes, traffic from the complex will be routed either west or east on Sittig Road.
Fireworks can be used in the city from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. through Tuesday.
