Fund established to benefit Baton Rouge Police officers, families

Community Foundation of Acadiana has created the In the Line of Duty Fund in response to the tragic July 17 shooting of six Baton Rouge Police officers, of which three were killed.
Donations to the fund are tax-deductible and 100 percent of all contributions will be given to those officers and their families.
Community Foundation of Acadiana will work closely with the Baton Rouge Police Department and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office to distribute 100 percent of the funds received to the officers and families affected by the shooting.
Donations from individuals, corporations and others may be made online at www.cfacadiana.org/InTheLineOfDuty. Checks may also be made payable and mailed to Community Foundation of Acadiana (Memo: In The Line of Duty Fund), 1035 Camellia Blvd., Suite 100, Lafayette, LA 70508.
“We ask much of those brave law enforcement officers that keep us safe daily,” said President & CEO of Community Foundation of Acadiana Raymond J. Hébert. “We are all affected by this tragedy, and we want to help our neighbors in the Baton Rouge community. This fund is a small expression of our support of those officers and their families. Let’s please keep them all in our thoughts and prayers.”
