Lynn Lejeune

Lejeune named St. Landry Chamber director

Lynn Lejeune is the new St. Landry Chamber of Commerce director. She has served as interim director, since May, 2014.
Chamber Chairperson Paula Mills said in a news release, “We appreciate her professional representation of the Chamber and our community, so we’re very pleased that she’s accepted the permanent position. She is an outstanding community supporter and her qualifications are second to none.”
When long time Chamber Executive Director Frankie Bertrand retired last year, Lejeune was contacted about filling the position temporarily. After a year of working with the Board of Directors and the business community, she decided she could serve the community working within the mission of the Chamber.
“It is my pleasure to have been offered this opportunity to work with so many dynamic individuals and I know together we can make a difference” Lejeune said. “I hope my work history and the passion I have for our communities will help this board of directors accomplish many goals in the years to come.”
A longtime resident of St. Landry Parish, Lejeune moved to the area in 1974 where she worked in the administrative field before becoming mayor of Eunice in 2002. After she left office in 2006, Lynn served as a consultant for special events.

She was recently elected as president- elect to the Eunice Rotary Club. She serves as president on many of the committees at LSUE.
“There are many exciting new endeavors coming to this area and we are now positioned to receive many of the advantages we have seen other parishes receive because of their location,” said Lejeune. “The St. Landry Parish Government, St. Landry Economic Development and the St. Landry Parish Tourism have joined with the Chamber and together they have become a unified entity to be that strong voice this parish has needed for so many years.”
