LSU Eunice offers summer courses for kids

Zumba Kids and a king cake making class have been added to LSU Eunice summer line-up for children. Both courses start in July.
King Cake making will be taught by Joycelyn Miller, who has over 20 years of experience in the food industry. This class is open to children ages 5-17. In this class, students will learn baking techniques including following recipes, measuring ingredients, and each student will create their very own king cake to take home with them. The class is being offered on July 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and again on July 12 from 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Registration is $20. Zumba Kids is a four part kids friendly Zumba class taught by Brittany Cernek. Students will learn dance routines based on the original Zumba choreography. Zumba techniques will be broken down into easy to learn steps. Zumba Kids is open to kids ages 7-12. The class begins July 12 and will run July 14, 19 and 21. All classes will be held between 11 a.m and noon. Registration is $20. Register for either class at www.lsue.edu/continuinged/bengalyou.php.
LSU Eunice Continuing Ed is also currently offering the following courses: Aquatic Exercise, Private Investigation Preparatory Course, ServSafe Food Safety Management Certification and Adulting 101 – Reducing the Mystery and Misery of Being a Grown Up.
