Marshall Thibodeaux, educator, to seek Ward 1 council post

Long-time educator Marshall A. Thibodeaux said he will run for the Eunice City Council from Ward 1 in the November primary.
Thibodeaux, currently principal of Armstrong Middle School in Rayne, is a life-long Eunice resident and of Ward 1. He is the son of Hester Thibodeaux.
He and his wife, nee Loritha Poullard, have two sons, Patrick and Wade, who are graduates of Eunice High, ULL, Louisiana Tech and Louisiana Technical College.
Thibodeaux is a graduate of Charles Drew High. He attended LSU Eunice and ULL and Southern University. He holds a BA in elementary education, and master’s degrees in elementary education and administration and supervision.
He began his teaching career at Central Middle School and Eunice Junior High.
A U.S. Army veteran, Thibodeaux is a member of VFW Post 225. He is Catholic and a member of Knights of Peter Clavier, in which he is a Fourth Degree Knight.
Announcing his decision to seek the council post, Thibodeaux said he wants to work for the residents of Ward 1.
