Nellie Myers

Nellie Aguillard Myers died on Friday, February 07, 2014 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, February 10, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Basile. Interment will follow in the Basile Protestant Cemetery with Pastor Dwayne Smith officiating.
She was retired from Basile State Bank and was the eldest member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include her husband, O.J. Myers of Basile; her three sons, Dana Aguillard and wife, Betty of Elton, Ronald Aguillard and wife, Daria of Lafayette, John Aguillard and wife, Linda of Denham Springs; her daughter, Suzanne A. Andrus and husband, Chuck of Basile; two step-sons, Patrick Myers of Jennings and Phillip Myers of Eunice; one brother, Carrol Aguillard of Upland, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Wes Aguillard, Alison Andrus, Aaron Aguillard, Jeff Aguillard, Abel Andrus, Alyssa A. Futrell, Adrienne Andrus and Austin Aguillard, and four great-granddaughters, Mya, Lauren, Ebby, and Eryn Aguillard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abel and Lucy Young Aguillard; first husband, Elson Aguillard; brothers, Mervin, Berlyn, Calvin, Gerald and Abel Aguillard, Jr.; infant sister, Erma Jane Aguillard.
