Eunice High's Lee earns top honors

Eunice running back Avery Lee gained 160 yards on 22 carries with a 1-yard touchdown run in the Bobcats’ 40-27 loss to Jennings.
Lee also connected with Georrein Dupre for a 28-yard touchdown.
For his efforts, Lee was selected the Eunice News Player of the Week for Sept. 4- 10.
Other top performances include:
Church Point’s Rodney Dupuis gained 80 yards on 16 carries and scored twice (28 and 26 yards) in the Bears’ 42-12 loss to Iowa.
St. Edmund running back Luke Doucet gained 53 yards on 11 carries and quarterback Peter Miller scored the game’s only touchdown in the Blue Jays’ 7-0 win over Iota.
Iota quarterback Kameron Aucoin completed 8-of-15 passes for 55 yards against St. Edmund.
