Guillory earns top honors

Iota running back Kaleb Guillory gained 272 yards on 32 carries in the Bulldogs’ 34-26 loss to Sacred Heart of Ville Platte.
Guillory scored on runs of 13, 16 and 17 yards.
For his efforts, Guilloryk has been named the Eunice News Player of the Week for Aug. 28 – Sept. 3.
Other top performances include:
Eunice running back Avery Lee gained 98 yards on 18 carries and scored three times in the Bobcats’ 34-6 win over Opelousas High.
Lee scored on runs of 9, 1 and 5 yards.
Bobcat quarterback quarterback Jaden Brasseaux completed 10-of-20 passes for 107 yards.
St. Edmund running back Luke Doucet gained 69 yards on eight carries including a 54-yard touchdown run in the Blue Jays’ 42-6 loss to Northwest.
Church Point’s Rodney Dupuis gained 94 yards on 14 carries in the Bears’ 33-3 loss to Rayne.
