Duos, Joubert exchange vows during Nuptial Mass ceremony

St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Lafayette served as the setting for afternoon Nuptial Mass ceremony uniting Claire Elise Duos and Seth Jordon Joubert in Holy Matrimony.
The ceremony was held on Saturday, May 9, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Schexnayder officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Clay M. Duos of Eunice and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Ray Joubert of Eunice.
Pianist during the ceremony was Connie Beaugh, accompanied by violinist Tommy Benoit and trumpeter Ryan Dufrene.
Ushers were William Burton of Crowley and Dr. Mathew Mazoch of Little Rock, Arkansas, brother-in-law of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in a dazzling lovely lace draped over a champagne colored silky slip-dress, accented with bold floral embroidery and overlayed with crystal accents.
The illusion scoop-neckline covered the classic sweetheart-bodice for a gorgeous layered look. The gown featured illusion cap sleeves and an illusion laced-back. The A-line silhouette featured a full-length hemline and was finished with crystal buttons to complete the creation. The gown was adorned with a beaded belt that tied together. The bride’s headpiece included a scalloped mid-length veil. The scallops were edged with beaded crystals.
She carried a traditional design bouquet consisting of peonies, cream roses, sahara roses, Picasso calla lilies, Queen Anne’s lace, porcelina roses, hybrid statice and seeded eucalypus, hand-tied with an ivory satin ribbon.
Serving as matron of honor was Dr. Caroline Duos Mazoch of Little Rock, Arkansas, sister of the bride; and maid of honor was Natalie Duos of Eunice, sister of the bride.
Bridal attendants included Amanda Williams Dugas of St. Martinville; Elisabeth Perron Romero of Lafayette; Morgan Brown Johnson of Slidell; and Anya Kaye Zaunbrecher of Branch, niece of the groom.
The bridesmaids wore an elegant eggplant evening gown. The gown featured a lace covered V-neck bodice with a beautiful designed sheer back and flowing A-line skirt. They carried bouquets of lavender roses, pink hybrid statice, Queen Anne’s lace, misty blue and cream roses with stems tied with ivory satin ribbon.
Serving as best man was Dr. Patrick Cutbirth of Lafayette.
Groomsmen were Dr. Daniel Boggs of Shreveport; Zachary Soileau of Eunice; Jacob Gorham of Eunice; Jonathan Bonck of Houston, Texas; and Hans Zaunbrecher of Branch, nephew of the groom.
The groom and groomsmen wore traditional black tuxedos.
A reception was immediately held after the ceremony at Abacus in Lafayette.
The couple have made their home in Lafayette.
The bride is a graduate of St. Edmund High School. She earned a bachelor of science in nursing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and a master’s of science in nursing at Northwestern State University. She is employed as a family nurse practitioner at Med Ed. of Louisiana in Breaux Bridge.
The groom is a graduate of Eunice High School and earned a bachelor of science in finance and economics at Louisiana Tech University. He is employed as a financial services repesentative at State Farm Insurance.
