Frey, Landry exchange vows during evening Nuptial Mass ceremony

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice served as the setting for uniting Jennifer Lauren Frey and Justin Blaine Landry in Holy Matrimony.
The Nuptial Mass ceremony was held on Friday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Cedric Sonnier and Deacon Dale Deshotel officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Vickie Frey of Eunice, and the groom is the son of Blaine Landry of Lacassine and Christine Landry of Iowa.
The church lectors were Dwayne Thevis, godfather of the bride; and Frances LeBlanc, aunt of the groom.
The organist during the ceremony was Laura Lombas, and gift bearers were Susan Deaville, godmother of the bride; and Randy Verret, godfather of the groom.
The bride, given away by her father, was radiant in a white modified A-line silhouette custom gown. She fashioned her prom dress which featured a sweetheart neckline, chiffon rusching throughout the bodice, and a touch of crystals and alternating lace and chiffon ruffles for the skirting.
Using chantilly lace from her mother’s wedding gown, she added a sheer lace overlay to the neckline, long sleeves, and additional lace and chiffon ruffles to lengthen the train.
The back of the bodice featured buttons taken from her mother’s dress as well. To complete the look, she wore her mother’s double-layered, fingertip veil trimmed in pearls and small lace hair.
The bride’s bouquet was a hand-held floral of cream magnolias, thistle, dusty parsley, magnolia leaves, spring of cotton all wrapped in burlap with a blue rosary passed down from her mother.
Serving as maid of honor was Kourtney Kennedy of Moss Bluff, friend of the bride.
Bridal attendants included Natalie Landry of Iowa, sister of the groom; Alexa Mire of Loreauville, Robin Louviere of Jennings, Cesly West of Eunice, Caitlan Faircloth of Rosepine, all friends of the bride; Allie Welch of Iowa, cousin of the groom; and junior bridesmaids were Lainee Landry of Lacassine, sister of the groom; and Mandee Matt of Iowa, godchild of the groom.
The maid of honor wore a teal chiffon A-line ankle length dress with champagne sequin, satin and a waist band with brown boots. The bridesmaids wore teal chiffon A-line ankle length dresses with champagne sequin, teal satin waistband and brown boots.
Serving as flower girl was Hazel Thevis, daughter of Tyson and Cassie Thevis of Welsh. She wore an ivory lace A-line ankle length dress with brown boots. She carried a bouquet of gardenias, thistle, spring of cotton and greenery, all wrapped in burlap.
Serving as ring bearer was Clyde Thevis, son of Tyson and Cassie Thevis of Welsh. He wore a tan suit, oasis vest and tie, with white and gold cuff links and brown boots. His boutonniere consisted of a cotton pod accented with greenery and burlap wrapped in rustic twine as a stem.
Cody Verret of Iowa, friend of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen included Derrick Frey, who is in the U.S. Marine Corps in San Diego, brother of the bride; Tyler Fontenot of Eunice, Karl Bruchhaus of Elton, Jeffery Burge of Eunice, Alex Lee of Eunice, all friends of the groom; and Brandon Guillory of Iowa, cousin of the groom.
Serving as ushers were Jonathan Landry of Lafayette, cousin of the groom; and Mark Minton of Lake Charles, friend of the groom.
A reception was held at the St. Thomas More Social Hall in Eunice. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The couple have made their home in Iowa.
