Himel, McGee exchange vows during Nuptial Mass Ceremony

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice served as the setting for the evening, double-ring, Nuptial Mass ceremony uniting Anne-Marie Himel and Tyler Blaine McGee in Holy Matrimony.
The ceremony was held on Friday, January 24 at 7 p.m. with Reverend Thomas Voorhies and Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Lisa Duplechin Christ of Eunice and Herlin Ray Himel of Eunice; and the groom is the son of Daryl and Patreace McGee of Vidrine.
Vocalists during the ceremony were Arien and David Harper accompanied by Connie Beaugh, organist, and Joe Stemplewski trumpeter.
Gift bearers were Jana Richard, godmother of the bride; and Kirk Young, uncle of the groom.
Scripture readers were Kristen Duplechin, cousin of the bride; and Paul Duplechin, godfather of the bride.
Church greeter was Riley Young, cousin of the groom.
Ushers were Jesse Habetz, brother- in-law of the bride; Lance Bertrand, brother-in-law of the groom, and Ryan Johnson, friend of the groom.
The bride, given away by her father, was stunning in an ivory and light gold strapless lace design by Allure. The strapless slim-fitted gown featured a sweetheart neckline accented with an overlay of delicate lace appliques. A satin ruched waistband accented with beautiful embellishments of pearls and Swarovski crystals completed her gown.
The bride wore an ivory fingertip two-tier veil edged with delicate beading and Swarovski crystals attached to an intricate jeweled vintage hair comb.
She carried a hand-held bouquet of white hydrangeas, cream Vendella roses, and green hypercium berries tied and knotted together with an ivory satin ribbon.
Serving as matron of honor was Ceslie Habetz of Moss Bluff, sister of the bride. Maid of honor was Meredith Himel of Lafayette, sister of the bride.
Bridal attendants included Lauren Fontenot of Ville Platte, Caroline Aguillard of Eunice, Victoria LeJeune of Eunice, all friends of the bride; Heather Bertrand of Vidrine, sister of the groom, and junior bridesmaid was Audrey Duplechin of Lafayette, cousin of the bride.
The bridesmaids wore sage chiffon halter strapped gowns accented with a ruffled floral embellishment at the shoulder. The gown featured a V-neck ruched bodice with a slim waistband and a flowing A-line skirt.
They carried hand-held bouquets of antique green hydrangeas, green hypericium berries and blush Majolica spray roses. The bouquets were tied and knotted with sheer sage ribbon.
Serving as flower girls were Zoie Habetz, niece of the bride, daughter of Jesse and Ceslie Habetz of Moss Bluff; and Mary-Katherine McGee, daughter of the bride and groom.
The flower girls carried a pomander ball of berries, hydrangeas and roses.
Serving as ring bearers were Levi Bertrand and Carter Bertrand, nephews of the groom; sons of Lance and Heather Bertrand of Vidrine.
Best man was Edward Turk of Eunice, friend of the groom.
Groomsmen were Ty Todd of Lake Charles, friend of the groom; Chase Guillory of Vidrine, cousin of the groom; Ryan Johnson, Trevor Hargroder, and Jerod Fontenot, all of Eunice, all friends of the groom.
The ushers, groomsmen, and groom were attired in black two-button notch lapel tuxedos edged in satin with matching pants. The groomsmen wore a black bow tie, cummerbund and suspenders. The groom wore an ivory shirt and bow tie.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the La Belle Venue in Eunice.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay Jamaica and have made their home in Vidrine.
