LaFleur, Arnaud exchange vows during double-ring afternoon ceremony

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice was the setting for the afternoon ceremony uniting Ashley Victoria LaFleur and Jacob Quintin Arnaud in Holy Matrimony.
The Nuptial Mass, double-ring ceremony was held on Saturday, September 3 at 1 p.m. with the Very Reverend Msgr. Robert Romero, V.E. officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frankie “Scotty” LaFleur of Eunice, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Arnaud of Eunice.
Grandparents of the bride are Mamie Fisher LaFleur and the late Frankie LaFleur Sr. of Eunice, Harold Ortego and the late Delores Deshotel Ortego of Opelousas.
Grandparents of the groom are Patricia Duplechin Richard and the late Ira Richard of Eunice, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fruge and the late Nelson Arnaud of Eunice.
Organist for the ceremony was Connie Beaugh, and David and Arien Harper were vocalists, along with Joe Stemplewski as trumpeter.
The bride, given away by her father, was radiant in a café and ivory bead ed and pearl-embellished lace sheath wedding gown featuring Swarovski crystals with illusion straps and a V-neckline, finished with a stunning V-back fastened with satin buttons down to the finish of the cathedral-length train. The gown was accented with a beaded belt of Swarovski crystals at the waist and a cathedral veil with beaded lace trim and blusher.
The bride carried a bouquet of Quick Sand roses, blush O’Hara garden roses, antique hydrangeas, light pink ranunculus, white stock with wax flowers, silver dollars, and dusty miller and her great grandmother’s antique pearl rosary served as something old.
Serving as maid of honor was Caroline Elizabeth LaFleur of Lafayette, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Caroline Elizabeth Aguillard of Eunice, Ashlyn Nicole Daville of Eunice, Jackie Hebert Isabella of Shreveport, Kristen Elizabeth Duplechin of Eunice, Erin Clause Zaunbrecher of Eunice, and Victoria Ellen Lejeune of Eunice, all friends of the bride.
The attendants wore floor-length peacock blue gowns of luxe chiffon fabric with halter neckline and a slim bow tied along the shoulder accented with a knotted ruching cinched waist.
Serving as flower girl was Ally Ward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ward of Eunice. She wore a family heirloom Battenberg lace dress with ivory slip dress beneath that had previously been worn by the bride for the weddings of two of her aunts.
Serving as best man was Hunter Arnaud of Eunice, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Launey Arnaud of Eunice, brother of the groom, David Scott LaFleur of Eunice, brother of the bride, Wesley Richard of Eunice, cousin of the groom, Jeremy Ward of Lake Charles, cousin of the groom, Kade Turner of Eunice, friend of the groom, and Cameron Craig of North Richland Hills, Texas, friend of the groom.
The groomsmen wore classic black two-button notch lapel suits with white shirts and black herringbone printed bow ties.
Serving as ring bearers were Ryder Ward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ward, and Grayson Ward, son of Dr. and Mrs. Jeremy Ward. The ring bearers wore classic black suits with white shirts and solid black bow ties.
Ushers for the ceremony were Blake Pitre of Iowa, Kaleb Deshotel of Monroe, both friends of the groom, Austin LaFleur of Eunice, cousin of the bride, and Ryan Buller of Ville Platte, friend of the groom.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at Stone Oaks Ballroom in Opelousas.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay, Jamacia.
The bride is a graduate of St. Edmund High School, attended LSU Eunice, and a graduate of LSU Baton Rouge. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology and is currently attending LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport as a fourth-year medical student with plans of graduating in May 2017. She plans to apply for Radiology residency.
The groom is a graduate of St. Edmund High School, attended LSU Eunice, and a graduate of LSU Baton Rouge. He obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic in December of 2014 from Parker University in Dallas. He is employed as a chiropractor at Alexandria Spine and Rehab Center in Alexandria.
