Many of us will prepare and enjoy turkey as part of our menu next Thursday, as we celebrate Thanksgiving.
I love eating turkey at Thanksgiving. I prefer the ‘unhealthy’ way of eating it too, deep fried.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8971 will have a Veteran’s Day program Nov. 11 beginning at 11 a.m. at its post hall located at U.S. 190 East. The public is invited.

I really don’t care for pumpkin pie. However, after reading the following, courtesy of Newspaper Metro, I did not realize you can use pumpkins as a candle holder, and hair conditioner, and pumpkin wines and beer. Maybe this year I will not throw away my pumpkin display!

I’m sure most children are looking forward to Halloween.
The city of Eunice will recognize Halloween with Trick or Treat hours 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29.
Other activities on the same evening include: the third annual Downtown Second Street merchants Trick or Treat.
