Three Eunice High School students were named to 21st annual Louisiana All-Star Marching Band at LSU in Baton Rouge. There were Jason Thibodeaux, Christina Melder and John David Benoit. They were nominated by James Boyne Jr., band director. 
The Eunice Knights of Columbus Council 1745 honored members with 50 or more years of service. They were Raymond Aguillard, Emmett Bordelon, Henry Broussard, Charles M. Guillory, Herbert M. Guillory, I.J. Guillory, J. Dudley Guillory, Ivan Miller, Elmo Montz, Harold Reed, L.M. Reed, and Rouseb Soileau. 
Nick’s on 2nd advertised that guest chefs on Tuesday night would be Todd and Debbie Ortego. The Wednesday night special was all you can eat boiled crawfish for $11.95. 
The Eunice High School Bobcats defeated Washington Marion 14-2 to clinch second place in District 4-4A. The coach was Clarence Merrick.  Shane LeJeune earned the mound in in the game against Washington Marion. 
Thelma LeJeune was honored as Secretary of the Year by the Eunice Rotary Club. LeJeune was secretary for Doug Longman, Moosa Memorial administrator. Past recipients were listed as Euvah Hollander, 1986; Elaine Moosa, 1987; Margaret Young, 1988; Gwen Thomassee, 1989; Bobbie Fruge, 1990; and Lou Courville, 1991. 
The National Association of University Women in Eunice were planning to “roast” Charles Loeb Jr. a former school assistant superintendent.
The Eunice High School Lady Bobcats were the 4-AAAA District champions. Team members included Robyn Miller, Dani Joubert, Jessica Ortego, Tobi Kibodeaux, Rachel Miller, Tonya Lavergne, Courtney Bass, Lisa Savoy, Dina Ardoin, Crystal Savoy, Tasha Richard, Brandy Bergeron, Lisa Duplechain, Johnnie Manuel, Michelle Thibodeaux, Ceata Ortego, Robbi Courville and Sandi Thibodeaux. Head coach was Scott Deshotel and assistant coach was Pam Truitt.
