Eva S. Darby

EUNICE ~ Visitation for Eva S. Darby, age 74, will be from 8:00 am to 11:30 am, Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Frank Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice with a Rosary being prayed at 10:00 am. Funeral services will follow at St. Mathilda Catholic Church at 12:00 Noon with interment following at St. Mathilda Catholic Church Cemetery, both on Saturday, December 7, 2013. Father Darren J. Eldridge, Pastor will officiate at the service.
Eva passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Opelousas General Hospital.
Eva was a very faithful and dedicated church member. She was a first class citizen of Eunice. She was respected by all and would help anybody she could. She was a dedicated mother and loved her family dearly.
Survivors include: two daughters: Mary Kim Collins and Belinda Gail Collins, both of Eunice; one brother, Emile Savoy of Thibodeaux; one sister, Catherine Savoy of Opelousas; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Darby; her parents, Mr. John Savoy and Mrs. Celemtine Savoy; her daughter, Claudia Fontenot; her sisters, Odelia Soileau and Mary Lee Green; her brothers, Narcisse Savoy, Herbert Savoy and Marion Savoy; her mother-in-law, Gladys Darby.
Pallbearers will be: Rodcik Joseph, Jonathan Stevens, Tristen Douthet Sr., Dantral Hence, Miles Stevens, and Rev. Hebert Lewis.
