Gerald Veillon

EUNICE~Gerald Veillon, 87, passed away on the morning of Monday, November 07, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends at Oaklane Wellness in Eunice.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, November 08, 2016 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with burial following at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
A proud veteran, Gerald served in the United States Army. He was a previous member of the American Legion Post #123 in Mamou. He enjoyed hunting but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his wife of 64 years, Annie Lou Reed Veillon of Eunice; his son, Kurt Veillon of Youngsville; three daughters, Patricia Soileau and husband, Keith of Mamou, Susan Veillon of Baton Rouge and Lois Veillon Thevis of Crowley; the joys of his life his three grandchildren, Kate Thevis, Amy Thevis and Cooper Veillon; and two great grandchildren, Logan Thevis and Colt Romero; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Aline Chambers Veillon.
