Prep band director booked on 3 counts of felony carnal knowledge

A band director-baseball coach is charged with carnal knowledge of a female student.
Police on Tuesday arrested award-winning Kaplan High band director Alex Hilliard, 26 on three counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Hilliard is also an assistant baseball coach at the school.
The alleged victim is a 16-year-old coed at the school, police said.
Hilliard’s bond was set at $30,000.
Vermilion School Supt. Jerome Puyau had no comment.
