Blanchard, Ardoin exchange vows during May double-ring ceremony

St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice served as the setting for a double-ring, evening ceremony uniting Nicole Blanchard and Eric Ardoin in Holy Matrimony.
The ceremony was held on Friday, May 22 at 7 p.m. with Deacon Robbie Leger officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Glenn and Faye Blanchard of Eunice, and the groom is the son of Scott and Ginny Ardoin of Mamou.
Vocalist during the ceremony was Arien Harper accompanied by pianist Connie Beaugh. Scripture reader was Shelly Bellard, godmother of the bride.
Ushers were Zach Brignac and William Menier, both of Mamou and friends of the groom.
The bride, given away by her parents, was radiant in an Mori Lee ivory floor length A-line gown accented with Alencon lace and sequins. The gown featured an ivory rhinestone belt.
Her headpiece included a cathedral-length veil edged in lace. She carried a bouquet of teal roses and white dahlias. As part of her bouquet, the bride included her grandmother’s rosary and photos of her late grandparents and aunt.
Serving as maid of honor was Mia Frey of Eunice, friend of the bride.
Bridal attendants included Emily Ardoin of Mamou, sister of the groom; Jada Fabacher of Eunice, Trina Richardson of Ville Platte, Abbie Blackwell of Basile, and Brittany Hebert of Eunice, all friends of the bride.
The attendants wore floor-length Teal off-the- shoulder chiffon gowns featuring a ruched waistline accented with a crystal brooch. They carried bouquets of Teal and white bridal roses accented with Teal and gray ribbons.
Flower girl was Audrey Leger, daughter of Hunter and Katherine Leger of Eunice.
Ring bearer was Colin O’Neal, son of Drs. Bud and Katie O’Neal of Baton Rouge.
Serving as best man was Garrett Jude Speyrer of Reddell, friend of the groom.
Groomsmen included Wesley Blanchard of Eunice, brother of the bride; Cameron Fontenot of Reddell, Kyle Richardson of Ville Platte, Greg Gott of Lacassine, and Hunter Vidrine of Pine Prairie, all friends of the groom.
The groom wore a dark gray suit with a white vest and tie, and the groomsmen wore a dark gray suit with teal vest and tie.
A reception was held at St. Thomas More Social hall.
The couple took a honeymoon cruise to Jamaica, Cayman Island and Cozumel.
The couple have made their home in Ville Platte.
The bride is a graduate of St. Edmund High School. She received an associates degree from LSU Eunice and a bachelor’s degree of psychology with a minor in sociology from McNeese State University.
The groom is a graduate of Mamou High School and McNeese State University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology. He is currently employed as a surveyor for Fugro Chance in Lafayette.
