Baptist minister
WALKER – Services for retired Baptist minister the Rev. Jerry Poston will be Friday. He died Oct. 21 at age 89.
He had pastored churches in Columbia, Jonesboro, Jena, Metairie, Baltimore, Md., Blakely, Ga. and Mandeville and was on the board of the Louisiana Moral & Civic Foundation.
Survivors include his wife Ella and two daughters.
Arrangements are by Seale.
Occupational therapist
BATON ROUGE – Services for noted public health therapist Judith Krotoski will be Saturday. She died Oct. 20 at age 68.
She retired as a Therapist Director from the U.S. Public Health Service. She was recognized internationally for research in sensibility testing and peripheral neuropathy. She was a founding member of the American Hand Therapy Foundation.
Survivors include her husband Al, a son and a step-daughter.
Arrangements are by Resthaven.
Journalist, professor
BATON ROUGE – Services for journalist and professor Robert Dardeene will be Saturday. He died Oct. 17 at age 66.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a journalism professor at University of South Florida in St. Petersburg and had worked as a news/features reporter and editor in Louisiana, Mexico, New York and Washington, D.C. He was a former professor at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and a Fulbright Scholar.
Survivors include his wife Barbara and a son.
