Higgins responds to stories, statements following resignation

Clay Higgins, who resigned on Feb. 29 from the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, issued a statement Friday through the Rev. Theodore Broussard of St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. The statement references a “Mr. Veillon” and was first posted on Facebook.

Higgins resigns from Sheriff's Office

Capt. Clay Higgins quit his job at the St. Landry Sheriff's Office in a disagreement with Sheriff Bobby Guidroz over the tone of his Crime Stoppers performances.
