Rice Council accepting board nominations

The Louisiana Rice Council (LARC) will elect a new Board of Directors during November and December.  Rice growers elected to the board will begin their four-year term Jan. 1, 2014.
 A nominating committee will begin the nomination process immediately.  Louisiana rice growers who are interested in being considered by the nominating committee as a potential candidate should contact the nominating committee member in their parish or district, listed below, before Friday.
 Nominating Committee Members, residence and parish or district are:
Fred Zaunbrecher ,  Rayne,    Acadia Parish;
Eric Unkel,  Kinder,       Allen Parish;
Robert Thevis, Simmesport,   Avoyelles Parish;
Ronald Habetz, Ragley,  Beauregard Parish;
Shannon Harrington, Iowa, Calcasieu and Cameron Parishes;
Donald Berken, Welsh, Jeff Davis Parish;        
Doug Foreman, Rayne,  Lafayette Parish;        
Damian Bollich, Jones, Northern District;        
Mark Frey, Morganza, River District;  
Charlie Fontenot, Port Barre, St. Landry Parish;        
Jeff Durand, St. Martinville, Teche District;
Richard Hardee, Gueydan, Vermilion Parish;

 The election will be held by mail ballot and results will be announced in late December.
