Reciprocity
Effective Aug. 15, 2004, the concealed handgun laws were amended concerning reciprocity with other states. The statute provides as follows:
Eunice firefighters responded to a truck fire on August Leonard Lane off Attebury Road in Acadia Parish at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to Fire Chief Mike Arnold. The fire involved a vacuum truck serving oilfield tanks, he said. The driver was injured and taken by helicopter to a hospital in Lafayette, he said. Arnold did not know the identify of the driver or the extent of his injuries. The fire appeared to have started around a compressor on the truck, he said. Arnold said he was called to the fire by Dusty Edwards, Richard Volunteer Fire Department chief. Three Eunice fire trucks responded, he said. (Photo by Harlan Kirgan)
