Tigers move into Top Ten
BATON ROUGE -- After an impressive win over a ranked FCS opponent on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium, the LSU football team moved up three spots in the Amway Coaches' Poll and two in the AP Top 25, it was announced Sunday morning.
LSU (2-0) was ranked No. 9 by the coaches and No. 10 by the AP after the 56-0 victory over then-No. 13 (FCS) Sam Houston State on Saturday.
Next weekend, the Tigers remain at home for the second of four-consecutive games in Tiger Stadium. Louisiana-Monroe comes to town for a 6 p.m. CT kickoff on ESPNU.
