The editor of the Weekly Messenger begged regularly to have the rutted road between St.
South Louisiana was still reeling from the effects of the Civil War in the spring of 1872, and times were tough.O.K. So this is taking the long way around to find a needle in a haystack, but….. I am looking for a water meter lid, cover, from early Eunice, to photograph. It would (or should) read ‘Gulf Public Service” on the lid.
