Body of FEMALE RECOVERED IN A CANAL NEAR PALMETTO

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team recovered the body of a female from a canal near Palmetto late Monday afternoon.
The body of Kimberly Perkins Clark, 28, of Livonia, was recovered from a drift pile inside a canal near near Veazie Road and Rosco Baham Road. The investigation is ongoing, and the cause of death is unknown.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call 337-948-TIPS or the detective section of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-948-6516. Tips could earn up to $1,000, and all calls will remain anonymous.
