Iota man charged with raping niece

Cody Gotte, 40, of Iota was arrested by Kinder police and charged with third-degree rape and crime against nature involving his niece.
In the early morning hours of Nov. 20,
Kinder police responded to a complaint at a Kinder resident located on 3rd Avenue on Nov. 20.
A 30-year-old female alleged her uncle had raped her, police said. The victim was transported to the Lake Charles memorial Hospital where she was examined.
Gotte was arrested and booked into the Kinder jail. He was later transported to the Allen Parish Jail.
