Woman, 35, faces sexual charges involving juveniles

A 35-year-old Opelousas woman has been arrested on six separate charges of involving inappropriate sexual contact with juveniles, a news release from St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz stated.
Franchesa Spears was arrested on March 28 after a parent presented evidence indicating that inappropriate electronic communications of a sexual nature had been taking place between Spears and her teenage son.
Spears is held on bail totaling $97,500, pending trial.
Her charges are:
Two counts of computer-aided solicitation of a minor:
Felony carnal knowledge of a minor;
Indecent behavior with a juveniles;
Trafficking of children for sexual purposes; and
Pornography involving juveniles.
Other juveniles may have been subject to inappropriate actions and additional charges are possible, the news release stated.
“I ask that any parents associated with this investigation refrain from unnecessary discussion regarding the details of the case,” Guidoz said.
