Lafayette police report a Cody Lavergne, 38, of Church Point, died after his motorcycle crashed in the 100 block of East Gloria Switch Road in Lafayette about 2:30 a.m. Thursday.

A two-vehicle fatal crash on La.1171 north of Industrial Park Road in Evangeline Parish claimed the life of 43-year-old James Erwin of Ville Platte at about 11 a.m. Tuesday, a Louisiana State Police Troop I news release reported.
