The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 15 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:

2143 Fire, 600 block West Park.
Jan. 13
Corey Benoit, 34, 800 Walnut Ave., two money warrants.
Octavie Fontenot, 51, 310 North East, charge not listed.
Erica Tweedel, 1350 West Ash, domestic abuse battery.
Slaughter
The Ville Platte Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Larry Slaughter on the charge of second-degree murder.
Slaughter is being sought in the death of Latoya Richard, 29,, who was found dead in her home on High School Drive with her head in a bucket of water.
