The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 15 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Marvin Lee Freeman, 27, 219 Cross St., Mamou, was charged April 7, with simple battery. Freeman was being held in jail on a $1,500 bond at press time.
April 15
Roy Thomas, Jr., age 60, 3818 Hwy. 35, Lawtell, LA, theft of livestock, 2 counts of theft by fraud.
Antonio L. Griggs, age 27, 10901 Sanctuary Way, Shreveport, LA, speeding, operating a motor vehicle while under suspension.
April 14
Kersey Allen Biagase, age 23, 184 Plantation Rd., Opelousas, LA, possession of marijuana w/intent to distribute, arrested by Probation and Parole.
Friday, April 11
1021 Ungovernable child reported in the 300 block of West Magnolia.
1049 Subject needs police officer in the 500 block of Acadian Village.
1313 Damage to property reported at Ardoin’s Marble Works.
