Church PoinT - Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, for Laura Lee Andrepont Matte, the former Laura Lee Doucet, who died at 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point.

She was a life-long resident of Church Point. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc conducted the services with interment following in St. Edward Cemetery in Richard.

Survivors include her former spouse, Carol Andrepont of Church Point; three sons, Bryan Andrepont of Church Point, Todd Andrepont of New Iberia, and Durke Andrepont and wife Allison of Houston, Texas; and two daughters, Cindy Andrepont of Port Barre and Vanessa Andrepont of Mire.

She is also survived by three sisters, Helen Faul and Lillian Daugereaux, both of Church Point, and Lilly Touchet, Port Arthur, Texas; her companion, Lorenzo Lejeune of Richard; along with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family requested visiting hours be observed 6-10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue from 8 a.m. Thursday until the time of services.

A recitation of the Rosary was led by Deacon Jim Cormier at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Guidry Funeral Home of Church Point was in charge of funeral arrangements.
