Balloonist performs at Liberty Theater

Rick Hessler, known as the Balloon Man, as well as a children’s entertainer, creates a heart out of a balloon with a balloon tail. He performs his talents with balloon twisting, and shows his magic with different magical tricks. Hessler entertained children at the Liberty Theater Thursday morning. Hessler is fire-fighter with 18 years experience and a native of Opelousas. He has been a Balloon Man for the past 15 years. As part of the Opelousas-Eunice Library Performing Series, Hessler was the first chidren’s guest. Eunice Library will offer its first StoryTime hour Wednesday at 10:30 in the upstairs children’s room, and the next Library performance at the Liberty is set for June 26 at 10 a.m with Hobey Ford as guest.
