Blesssing of Carron Cemetery set for Sunday
The annual blessing of the graves will be conducted at Carron Cemetery on Sunday at noon by a representative from St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
In preparation, families are invited to prepare for the event by sprucing up the grave sites, not only of their own family graves, but also of those which appear to have no one to remember them.
One of the oldest family cemeteries in the area, Carron Cemetery existed before the founding of the city of Eunice. Along with many of Eunice’s founders are five soldiers who served in the War Between the States.
The Carron Cemetery Family Alliance (CCFA) was formed in 2010 for the purposes of cemetery restoration and preservation. This 100 percent volunteer group works year-round to provide for cemetery grounds maintenance and drainage, raising funds each year to do so.

Donations in any amount are accepted and may be mailed to: CCFA Cemetery Fund, Attn: Diane Martel Bihm, Treasurer & Sexton, 2630 Perchville Road, Eunice, LA. 70535.
