Children's Performer Roger Day at Liberty Theater

A children’s entertainer and songwriter Roger Day of Nashville, Tenn. was the special guest Thursday at the Liberty Theater. As part of the Opelousas-Eunice Library Performing series Day put on an entertaining show of songs, dance, for children attending. Singing “Sing Loud, Jump High, Dream Big” are Day, left, and his son Thomas. Day plays well over a hundred shows each year, and is a two-time Parents’ Choice Gold Award winner. An Eagle Scout, and the Dad of one Eagle Scout and one Life Scout, Day spends his free time as a volunteer leader for Boy Scout Troop 137. He recently led an expedition of 50 scouts and adult leaders on a 12-day backpacking trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.
