Eunice Players’ Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) opens Friday
The first show of the 47th season of Eunice Players’ Theatre will open at 7 p.m. Friday with Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged). The show will have performances on April 26, 29, 30, with 7 p.m. curtain. Sunday matinee performances will be held on April 24 and May 1 with a 2 p.m. curtain. Dinner theatre is set for April 27 at 6 p.m.
Regular tickets and dinner tickets are available for purchase at David’s LTD Hair and Nail Salon on 2nd Street. Season ticket holders are encouraged to make reservations in advance for their selected performances by calling the phone number listed on their tickets.
Directed by Bonnie Pitre Kyzar, this comedy features Dr. Kevin Miller, Van Reed, and Gabe Ortego as three actors attempting to present all the classic works of the world’s greatest playwright in 90 minutes. The three actors will portray classic characters from Shakespeare’s works, such as Romeo and Juliet, Titus Andronicus, Macbeth, Julius Caesar and Othello. All these works are presented as short sketches in the vein of Monty Python and Saturday Night Live.
