First year at Highland Elementary

Kandance Vallot, is a first-year teacher at Highland Elementary. Vallot from Carencro, will teach first grade at the elementary campus. Vallot moved back to her hometown of Carencro two-months ago from a year-stay overseas in Taiwan. She was also a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador from 2011-2013. She studied Mandarin, the chinese language, at Ohio State University, where she received her degree. She taught English in Taiwan. Vallot is a 2014 graduate of the Academy of Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau. (Photo by Myra Miller)
