Highland Elementary receives a Literacy Grant

Highland Elementary received a $3,000 grant from Dollar General Literacy Foundation. Instructional Lab Computer Facilitator Viola Bellard, pictured left, applied for the grant and has plans and purpose for the grant, to be used for enhancing, assisting, promoting, supporting and strengthening literacy for all grade levels. “I want our students to have fun and make learning interesting in the library.” Principal Lorie LeDoux as well is thrilled with the funds to be used for strengthening literacy.
