Highland third-grader entertains

Tristian Harris, a third-grader at Highland Elementary, entertained playing his accordion at the conclusion of the school’s end-of-the-year awards ceremony held May 19. He sang the Cajun-French song, “The Back Door,” as he played. Harris, a beginner accordion player, took free lessons offered in Eunice, and is a student at Mouton Accordions & Music. Not only a talented accordion player, Harris also plays the drums. His teacher at Highland was Amy Myers. Harris is the son of Amber Harris of Eunice, and the grandson of Lorita Harris of Eunice.
