During a January meeting, a fellow 4-Her Alex Cormier gave a special and informative presentation about 4-H shooting sports. Cormier talked about his many guns used at shooting sports, and gave an explanation on different guns, their functions and purposes. Cormier placed numerous times in competitions and has been competing for more than 5 years.
The IMS Junior 4-H Club is also proud to announce that Ethan Breaux, a seventh grader at Iota Middle School, has won the Achievement Day Theme Contest. His winning theme is, “Lets Sound Off for 4-H.”
Each year 4-Hers are asked to participate and to think of a catchy phrase for a theme at Achievement Day. All themes submitted from schools are then voted upon and selected. The chosen theme is used Parish-wide.
