Miss Louisiana State crowned

Laken Grouvillia of Eunice wears the crown of 2017 Miss Louisiana State. The Miss Louisiana State pageant is an official preliminary to the Miss Gulf States National Pageant. Grouvillia will advance to Nationals in June. Shelly Winters is the director and CEO of the pageant. Grouvillia won the online photo contest as well as the talent, Overall photogenic, Overall portfolio and Most Beautiful. Grouvillia, 19, is a 2015 graduate of Eunice High and is currently attending LSU Eunice, pursuing a degree in respiratory care therapy. She is the daughter of Michael and Sonia Grouvillia of Eunice.
