MyMission, new organization for all women.

Ladies, mark your calendar.
MyMission will sponsor a Dining With the Chefs Holiday Demonstrations by Danielle Bozyone, Melanie Christie, Margaret Fontenot and Denise Aguillard on Thursday, Oct. 3 from 6:30 to 9:30 at the Northwest Community Center in Eunice. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at Classic Cuts & Sunsports in Eunice, or by calling Kimberly Loewer at 580-3108.
What is myMission? myMission is an organization for women of all ages through which they engage in Bible study and prayer, the building of community, and mission projects in surrounding areas.
Who can be a part of myMission? Anyone... a college student, a young professional, a young mom, and the girl next door to you.
Fundamentally, myMission is an avenue through which young women can explore their faith together and learn to live it out wherever they are. myMission encourages young women to learn about their world and missions. Most importantly, myMission calls young women to live fully in their circumstances, developing a missions lifestyle that engages the people around them.
Alan Knuckles, Director of Missions of Acadia Louisiana Mt. Olive Baptist Association, along with Kim Loewer, local coordinator of myMissions  added, “Through myMission women get to know each other. This can be done by playing games, to the older generation teaching how to sew a button. A vital part of discipleship is living in biblical community with one another. As followers of Christ, we are commanded to make disciples and a part of that is note being afraid to get to know others and truly live life with them. It’s about Generations teaching and sharing with other Generations.”
myMission is divided into three topics of interest: My Journey: Bible Study and Prayer. This session is a study of Scripture; My Life: Community. This session one will get to know your myMission group members better. One vital part of discipleship is living in biblical community with one another. Different community events offered will help and design growth with community among group members;  and My World: Missions Projects. After one has studied about God’s attribute and lived it out within your own group; it’s time to share it with others. The myWorld section allows groups to go out and serve their community and world.
