Native captures spot at pageant

Eunice native Skilynn D. Fontenot captured fourth runner-up and a scholarship during the 58th Miss Northwestern Lady of the Bracelet 2016 Scholarship Pageant held on Jan. 15. Fontenot, a sophomore, studying and majoring in creative and performing arts with a bachelors in theatre and concentration in dance at Northwestern State University, competed against 11 women. The pageant is a preliminary to the Miss Louisiana Pageant, sponsored by Northwestern State University Student Activities Board. This was Fontenot’s first pageant competition. She is a 2014 Eunice High School graduate, and the daughter of Tennille Brown of Eunice. Submitted Photo)
