Supporter of the Year at St. Francis

Tonia Bertrand was recently recognized as St. Francis School’s “Supporter of the Year” for the 2013-2014 school term.
Bertrand has been working with students and providing music at the weekly school masses for the past eight years.
She unselfishly gives her time to the students of St. Francis. She arrives at campus once a week and practices with all of the religion classes in preparation for the weekly Mass. Her love of music began as a very young child. She has self taught herself guitar and has been playing for 25 years.
Bertrand has been married to James Quillan Bertrand for 19 years, and together, they have three children and four grandchildren. They are members of St. Joseph Church in Iota, in which she has been playing music for over 20 years.
In her spare time, Bertrand enjoys practicing her guitar, fishing, reading, gardening, and bike riding. She enjoys the outdoors, especially playing with her grandchildren.
