Teacher of the Year at St. Francis
Aline Hebert was named St. Francis School’s “Teacher of the Year” for the 2013-2014 school term. She has been described by her peers as an amazing, caring, and kind person. Her students enjoy their time with her, as she is always willing and ready to take on the day’s challenge.
Hebert received a Bachelor of Education from what was USL, in Lower Elementary Education and Kindergarten, and also holds a Masters of Education from USL in the same field.
She began her teaching career in 1973 and taught for four years. She then took time off to raise her family, but while doing so, she home schooled her children.
Hebert began teaching at St. Francis in 1999. She is a Title I Reading Support Educator. She helps students struggling in reading to become better readers. She has also served as the 4-H leader at St. Francis for the past 10 years.
Hebert has been married to Wallace Hebert for 37 years, and is the mother of six and grandmother of six, with two on the way.
In her spare time, Hebert enjoys babysitting her grandchildren. She also enjoys gardening, camping, bird watching, and reading.
