Toepfer, Smith announce May wedding date

Darrel and Jennifer Toepfer of Eunice are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sara Marie Toepfer to Michael Lee Smith, son of Rev. Dwayne and Pat Smith of Basile.
Miss Toepfer is the granddaughter of Ernst Toepfer, Jr. and Rose Toepfer of Eunice, and the late Alphonse Bourgeois and Lois Bourgeois of Crowley.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Iota High School and Louisiana College in Pineville earning double majors in Chemistry and Biology with plans to graduate in May.
Mr. Smith is the grandson of the late William Smith, Jr. and Willa Smith, and the late Alexson and Lorena Boone.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Basile High School and is currently attending Louisiana College in Pineville majoring in education.
The couple will exchange vows during a 1 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 24 at First Baptist Church in Eunice.
